OCC have long-standing expertise in developing Charging applications.

CSOCC consists of two separate but inter-related modules, covering Fairer Charging and Residential Charging (CRAG).

Both are flexible, low-cost systems that meet both local authority needs and Department of Health guidelines.

In addition, a Charging user group, set up in 2002, meets regularly to define, review and refine the new versions of the software.

CSOCC members enjoy bi-annual meetings with OCC, a regular newsletter and a dedicated extranet site.

What is CSOCC?
CSOCC comprises two modules with differing emphases but many shared features.

Fairer Charging module
- lets local authorities define providers and services, handling the client assessment and notification process

Residential Charging module
- lets local authorities define providers and residential homes, specifying the cost of a placement on a client by client basis
- supports temporary, permanent and respite assessments and placements

Both modules also enjoy the following shared features:
- bespoke, stand-alone systems - no problems with legacy code or architecture
- interface with local authority finance, social care, income collection and Supporting People systems
- familiar look and feel which means minimal training is required
- enable each local authority to define its own charging policy
